Back in Bohol - day 3&4 (3/14-15/2010)
I'm going to cover both days 3 & 4 here in this post. For these days we had all the leisure time to spend it on the beach and resort since we have no other scheduled activities. It wasn't that boring even though what we did was just stayed on the beach, play frisbee, eat, and swim.
So catching the sunrise again on the start of day 3, we were able to get this nice (I guess so) silhouette shot with the sun about to rise from the horizon.
Since we have all the day at the beach we had the time to roam around and take pictures.
3 kayaks laid between 2 trees
Every beach resort has their own rules and regulations we have to follow. It is not for their benefit but for our nature. So please comply. =)
A sunburst achieved by taking a shot of the sun behind the leaves of this coconut tree.
We also found this big cloud with the sun hiding behind it. Another chance of a sunburst effect.
this was HDR'ed already
Since sand here is very fine, it produces a smooth glass effect whenever it is wet by the shore waves. We accidentally noticed a clear reflection of our pictures when we took some so we did this.
this time by pair =)
We made use of a boat that is anchored in the shore that time as our shooting spot. haha.
On to our last day, we caught up again with sunrise, as we normally schedule ourselves to. Not much clouds that morning and the bright warm sun appeared among us.
Looks like sunset but it's not. The sun was just rising.

Last hoorah at the beach before we leave. hehe.

Another great Bohol summer experience. We definitely had fun with our island tour and enjoyed our stay at the beach.

Bohol Escapade 1 - Day 3&4 - 11/01-02/09
Good morning Bohol!!! Good morning sunshine!!! We’ve finally caught up with the sunrise. It was our first time to photograph sunrise and we even brought our notes on how to do it. Hahaha… well at least we’ve come prepared. We were early that time and waited for the sun to rise. It was cold outside and the sea was very calm thus it was very peaceful and relaxing.
We were preparing that time. We took some practice shots. But ooops... battery is in low bat. Crap!!! Great timing huh... Will we miss another chance on sunrise? Nah.. we won't let it happen. Good thing though is that we had a spare digicam (but much inferior to the model we're using). The remaining battery was used later on when the sun had appeared.
The surroundings slowly brightened up. Here comes the sun! But hey! Why must you hide behind the clouds? Where are you, where are you??? Anyway, it was still beautiful. =)

All afternoon long we just shifted swimming in the beach and pool. And before dusk fell on us we took again shots, particularly jump shots… hehehe… we’ve been trying to be proficient on this one. Haha
fly away!!!

Sunset in Dumaluan also marks the end of the day since there is no night life there. No bar, so no parties. That meant goodnight for us too.
We were able to catch up again with the sunrise on our 4th day. I think it was more dramatic compared to yesterday. The sun really showed up unlike yesterday where it hid behind the clouds.

Sun slowly appeared… far into the horizon. The warm glow of the sun can be slightly felt. The skies, golden in color, reflected the surroundings. The beauty and grandeur of the sunrise is slowly unfolding.

We would be leaving late in the morning so we maximized the time left for us in the resort. We took some pictures in the beach and took a dip in the pool. We also took an early lunch so that we won’t get hungry during the flight back to Manila .
It’s time for us to leave already. Well what can I say? I totally enjoyed my stay here in Bohol . From the places we’ve visited, food we’ve eaten and to our stay in the beach.
We will definitely go back here in

Bohol Escapade 1 - Day 1 - 10/30/09
We went down south this time. Our destination?
Us at the airport
This was my first time to ride a plane too. Was there any chance that I got nervous during my flight? I could say just a little, when there happened to have slight turbulence. But I didn't puke nor got dizzy. By the way, we missed our flight that morning and we took the next flight. hahaha... what a great way to start things off. And we got another ticket just to pursue this long planned trip. We were shell-shocked by this event and it took us hours to recover. hahaha...
1st time to go above the clouds
We arrived in Bohol after lunch and right there our tour guide is waiting for us. We got Kuya Tatsky as our tour guide. And what can we say, he's so nice and accommodating and he certainly knows how to treat his clients.
At Tagbilaran airport
First stop, Hinagdanan Cave , located in Dauis. Why Hinagdanan, probably because entrance is through a small hole via a steep ladder. Inside were formations of stalactites and stalagmites. It was my first time to enter a cave and I was awed at how scenic it could be inside. There are also various wall paintings by I don't know who. hehe... Outside you can buy the cheapest inedible stuffs like shirts and other gift items/souvenirs. I forgot the name of our guide but he definitely is a must-pick. He’s highly recommended by Kuya Tatsky and now by us too. hehe… Why he is highly recommended? Well, he’s funny and lively. He speaks in accentuated English (perfect for foreigners). And he knows how to use our camera more than we do. Hahaha…

behind are the paintings
Next stop are two old churches, Dauis church and Baclayon church, which is considered as one of the oldest in our country. A well can be found inside Dauis church which contains fresh water. I actually filled out my bottle of water and tested it out. It had no smell at all and indeed tasted like fresh water.

In Baclayon church, an image of a face of a person can be seen in one of its outer walls. It is believed to be Padre Pio. Kuya Tatsky made us guess what we see from that image and I actually saw other figure. hahaha...

Next, we went to the Sikatuna-Legaspi Blood Compact sculpture in Dais and took some pictures and after that we went to the actual blood compact site in Loay, way far from the blood compact sculpture. How ironic is that.

I forgot to say, in between the two blood compact locations, we dropped by Albur to see Prony, a huge python which is asleep that time. We took a picture with it and were a little nervous as it might swallow us. hahaha... Another eye-catcher is MariMar, we caught him/her? performing comedy. You can also buy the cheapest edible pasalubongs here ranging from various peanut delicacies and kalamay.

After this, it's time we see the tarsiers. It was just a quick visit since it's starting to get late already that time. It is also prohibited already by law to hold a tarsier (how sad =( was that). We took some pictures and then off we go to the Hanging Bridge .
Tarsiers are #1!!!

On our way back we passed by the Man-made mahogany forest planted by the Boholanos themselves. Pictures here were not that good since it was getting dark already, or was it really dark there since trees were blocking the sunlight. :)

Last stop for the day is the Bohol Bee Farm. They serve purely organic food in BIG servings and also provide a panoramic view of the sea.

After our delicious feast and a tiring day, we headed to Dumaluan Beach Resort where we will be staying. We weren't that excited to see or explore the beach when we arrived. We were more excited to see our room as we are very tired and eager to take a good night sleep. We're so excited to see tomorrow... =)
