IN-despicable me!!!

My gf and I are fond of watching animated movies particularly those cute (for kids) ones. The latest that satisfied our delight is DESPICABLE ME.

In a clean and quiet neighborhood, sits an odd looking house and an odd looking car. Unknown to them, lied underneath is a secret hideout more of like a R&D laboratory. Are you familiar with Uncle Fester of the Addams Family, well he is somehow like the protagonist/antagonist of this movie. The workers? An army of small yellow minions which he introduced as his cousins. =)

Their main job is to steal important artifacts or landmarks from different places. One thing though is that nobody knows that it was him who's been doing this. Planning to get the biggest heist of his time, he planned on stealing the moon. Yes, the moon. How he can do it, by making use of the shrink gun. But first of all, he have to steal the shrink gun, overcome his biggest rival, Vector and to be a parent to 3 cute little girls namely, Margo, Edith and Agnes.

Can the world's greatest villain turn out to be the world's greatest dad?

Rating: 9/10

I'd love to train a dragon

Set in the world of Vikings and dragons, Hiccup, a boy who struggles to belong in his clan encounters a 'cute' black dragon entangled in ropes while wandering the woods. Not having the urge to kill a dragon which the Vikings were trained to do so, he untangled it and gradually became friends with it. This turn of events will change the history both for the dragons and Vikings.

Character design is great! The facial expressions especially with that of the black dragon is outstanding. You can feel the understanding of both Hiccup and his dragon. We had a really good laugh on this one. The story isn't that complex so you need not have to concentrate on it. Just enjoy the animation and have a good laugh.

An adaptation based on the book written by Cressida Cowell. Even though I haven't read the book yet I think this animation did justice to it. This 3D offering is awesome!

Enjoy, enjoy and enjoy. You'll definitely learn some tricks in training a dragon, like I said earlier, in case you encountered one. Definitely a 10/10 for me.

Up in 3D

Just before my girlfriend leave for a 4D/3N stay in Thailand we planned on treating ourselves a 3D spectacle. We watched Up in 3D at greenbelt 3 cinemas. This was my first 3D experience and I am quite excited with that.

For a P300 worth of ticket both of us were really satisfied. The animation is done pretty well and the story is great. A funny and mostly touching story between an old man and a young boy along with their house hoisted up by thousands of balloons. Plus a giant bird which the boy named Kevin, talking dogs and a lost-explorer (the main antagonist).

A great treat for everybody, it's a guarantee. A must see movie with great animation and story. It's a perfect rating for me, 10/10.
